I was in the lobby of my old college apartment building and overheard some chick gushing to this guy that he was really going to like her best friend that was upstairs. So, of course, the guy asked, "Is she hot?" The girl replied, "Well, she has a great personality." I just stood there was like, "WTF! Some friend she is." The guy got her meaning loud and clear and didn't hang around to meet the BFF. I'd heard people jokingly use the phrase, "She's got a great personality," in a circle of friends poking fun at each other, but this was the first time I had ever heard someone seriously use it to describe someone else. I was shocked.
