Questions About Beauty
I was reading some romance tips and it said that most women look a lot better than they give themselves credit for. It said that in general, men don’t care about the things that women think they do. It’s not what you have, it’s how you use what you have.
I scratched my head and continued reading.
When you are with a real woman, cardboard cake fake images don’t matter is what it said.
Sounds pretty good but is it true?
Are women the ones who are putting all this pressure on themselves or do we have to because that’s what men want?
Coincidentally after I read that article my husband was talking about the crazy things that women do for the sake of beauty. Without thinking I spouted out, “We have to! We do it because we have to for men!”
He looked confused so I wonder…do we have to wear painful garmets that constrict our breathing so that we’ll have a “nice shape” when we wear evening gowns?
Do we have to endure painful beauty procedures like waxing and eyebrow plucking? (Neither of which are something I’ve tried)
Do we HAVE TO bleach our teeth, dye our hair, and workout obsessively; or are we beautiful just as we are?
